Cash leaves The CabThere has been speculation for a couple weeks that members of The Cab were leaving the band. With first a short post today on Alex DeLeon's blog and a response from Cash, they have tried to put rumors and concerns to rest.
This is the blog posted by Alex Deleon, singer of The Cab, on his blog http://symphonysoldier.com. He writes:
goodbye dear friendFirst off I can’t thank our fans enough for making the What Happens In Vegas tour a success beyond our wildest dreams. I don’t think anybody quite realizes how much this means to us but it absolutely means the world. It was our first nationwide headlining tour and you guys were loving, welcoming, and absolutely incredible! I’m sad to say the day has come where Cash has decided to leave the band and to move on from touring to pursue his other interests and dreams and to do what’s right for him in Las Vegas. If you follow Cash on twitter I’m sure you’ve seen everything he has on his plate and that he’s been working on at home. We wish him the best and I’m sure he’ll be no stranger at a Cab show or anytime we’re back in town. Thank you again to everyone for your unending support, you’ve made the tour and this summer one we’ll never forget. We hope to see everybody again soon. We are happier than ever and have so many songs we are dying to show you guys! Get ready… the best is yet to come! -alexander michael and in response on his personal Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/cashsmyspace), Cash writes: Wednesday, August 19, 2009

happy

I say we go to Johnny and Harry's as part of a Vegas trip that should be my 21st birthday. Especially since my birthday will be right after we're done with school, and potentially right after I graduate. Definitely reason to party.
This is so very sad.
im really sad too :(
it'll eventually be a rule you have to be named alex to be in the band. i mean, it was only a matter of time
wait, what? like "we're breaking up so I'm leaving the band!" stuff?
Also, I forgot to say this last time, but this as all very well said. The journal I mean, not the comment. Well, the comment was okay too.
and now that ian left, which broke my poor heart, and now CASH...
i dunno, the cab isnt the same for me. i still love the alexs and their music,
but i just dont know. ugh its heart wrenching. :(
but it was actually Johnson who first gave out a subtle hint for yesterday's news, the night before.
Johnson tweeted it first, then alot of people responded asking why he didn't add Cash to the family tweet.
Then Marshall did the same thing with his tweet.
It kinda just came together that night for me.
It's sad but I'm happy for Cash.
Gotta love him and his nose cups and his crazy dancing with the bass moves.
