The boy I call "DIBBBBS!!!!" on today:
Kevin Michael McHale

YOU DON'T KNOW HIM!?!?!??!?!
From my BFF wikipedia:
Kevin Michael McHale (14 June 1988, Plano, Texas, USA) is an American actor and pop singer formerly of boy band NLT.[1]
and now you're all like... WHO IS NLT?!?!?
it stands for Not Like Them. who "them" is is confusing but... i don't care. they're like a hip-hop-ish N'Sync.
basically, you don't have to take any of their music seriously.
watch this video from :50 to about 1:27 to see my main man:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VQKxMBJa2I

Kevin is in the middle there. the one without the lame hat. AKA THE REALLY HOT ONE.
But here is where you know him from:

GLEE!

DAMN. BE hotter. I DARE you
so yes, all around hottie. he's adorable, sings, and can be a bad boy too.
PLUS for all yo Shorties' out there, he's like 5' 4" haha
but I already called dibbs!

There has been speculation for a couple weeks that members of The Cab were leaving the band.
With first a short post today on Alex DeLeon's blog and a response from Cash, they have tried to put rumors and concerns to rest. Sad face...

I read this on J14's twitter.
don't ask me why I follow them, OKay? this is a time to mourn, not make fun of me.
From the panic website:

This reads:
Ryan Ross and Jon Walker will be leaving Panic at the Disco to embark on a musical excursion of their own. Though the four of us have made music together in the past, we’ve creatively evolved in different directions which has compromised what each of us want to personally achieve. Over the years, we have remained close and honest with each other, which helped us to realize that our goals were different and that parting ways is truly what is best for each of us. We are all excited for the future, you should be too.
-Ryan & Jon
Stay posted to the Panic site for updates on Ryan and Jon’s new project, as well as a message from Brendon and Spencer who will continue on as Panic At The Disco. All touring and album plans for Panic will continue as previously announced.

OH my god.
I don't really know what to say here. Panic at the disco has been a huge part of my life. they're the band that brought me to Buzznet, and THAT obviously means a lot to me. I'm in shock and don't believe it. do you?
(if anyone posts anything along the lines of "well they're better off now" I, (for Rich's sake) " will shoot you with a rainbow in ur face". without Ryan and Jon there is no Panic! in my opinion.)

this is the first blog in a series I'm planning called, obviously, "Why I Like the Stuff You Hate."
I like Metro Station

I’m just gonna go ahead and let that sit for a little bit. If you want to ignore everything I’m about to say, go right ahead. Leave a comment about Trace’s horse face. I don’t mind…

*whinnies*
with there presence on the Believers Never Die tour, I've been hearing a LOT of smack talked about this band.
I like the song Shake It. I like to shake it, to the song Shake it! There’s no doubt in my mind its just a pop dance tune. speaking of Metro Station songs I like... I enjoy Kelsey, I Wish We Were Older, Disco, Control, and Seventeen Forever too.
I don’t think that Metro Station’s music is exceptionally good. Its just fun! Why should you hate a band for being ONLY fun?
I can understand hating them for being over hyped, proclaimed as good and then really sucking. But they aren’t, and they don’t.
Granted, there are plenty of fan girls. Trace Cyrus fan girls are kind of terrifying. There are ALWAYS fan girls though. What else is new?
When I saw Metro Station live at Bamboozle Left, I was a smidge dissatisfied. Mason, the lead singer’s voice was great. I thought he sounded fine! It was Trace I had problems with.
The problem wasn’t really a problem once I figured out why he sounded so different.
First let me say: Trace Cyrus has about the most energy I’ve seen in any band member in a WHILE. He would NOT stop moving around, running, jumping off the drum set. It was quite annoying trying to take pictures, but he was engaging the crowd corner to corner.

Trace is ridin on a drumset, doing flips and shit...
Naturally, with anyone running around for extended periods of time, he became winded. In the recorded versions of the songs, Trace talk sings, and often whispers. Obviously, this would be hard to do winded, so he sort of yelled some lines, talked some… it was weird.
But hell! I’d rather see him put 110% into his set and listen to the “perfect” recording later.
plus he was very nice to me backstage at Bamboozle left. He's not a jerk. You don't even get that angle to argue.
Mason…
Has a fantastic voice. Trace, less so… but still respectable.
This is a little video I found of the two of them playing acoustically. I’m super impressed by Mason’s voice. The first “Oh wohh ehh ohh” he sings was just like… WOW.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMWREV7ECvg&feature=PlayList&p=D47D1C5463CD7254&index=19
Their video for Kelsey is really cool too:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRTyMUZ1m1A&feature=PlayList&p=D47D1C5463CD7254&index=14
I enjoy the combination of instruments in this group. I was at first surprised to realize they didn’t have a bass player. But the synthesizer apparently takes care of that. And makes it pop fun, with the dash of rock. I don’t know anything about the difficulty of the synthesizer lines Blake Healy is creating and performing… but I like them

Overall, I think Metro Station is summed up by this quote by Mason. When asked what he wants people to get from listening to their record he replied:
“We want them to dance. I want them to dance. If you are hearing me right now, I am Mason Musso and when you listen to our record feel free to fucking dance.”

Okay Mason. Trust me. I’m dancing…

my scene is an island that was only a floating bridge across from the best city in the world, SEATTLE!
the Space Needle is the greatest icon of Seattle. It's so beautiful in the skyline! Plus, right under it is the Pacific Science Center, so I can geek out hardcore there :)
my true hometown was on an Island just outside Seattle
snowdays there were the best!
I love that I had access to urban areas, but grew up separate from them. There is no better place, in my opinion, than my home town. It's made me who I am.

some of these people most of you guys will have no interest in, but this list is for my own posterity, and so as I age I can look back on my golden years and *sigh* Buzznet specific: I know that Audrey Kitching, HannahBeth, AND Raquel Reid (on more than one occasion) have replied to comments I have left on their pages. OMFG. now, in real life... Carolina Liar they signed my poster in-between sets At the same show, Travis, from we the kings thats his siggy right thur Cassadee, from Hey Monday she signed my bracelet at a show, and I met her during the filming for the cab's "take my hand remix" where I obviously met... The Cab Technically, I'm in their music video. if they ever, ever, EVER put it OUT!!!! (I are frustrated) these pictures are from in-between takes, when we were just goofing off, eating Pizza (see alex) and just doin whatever. Andrew McMahon I got to watch his sound check at the Troubadour. QuietDrive I got to go to their show for free cause my friend was going to do some filming for them. all the while he thought he was talking to their manager, he was actually talking to the guitarist (one far left of photo, with his face cut off). the singer and I had a moment after the show. we held hands for like, 5 seconds while locking eyes. it was awesome. Fall Out Boy their video shoot for "I Don't Care" woo hoo!!!! I talked to Joe the most, because I was closest to him. they were trowing shirts to people on pete's side, and I was like "Joe, can you get me a shirt?!?!!" and he MUTHA EFFIN went and got one for me. what a great experience :) Cobra Starship minus Vickey-T. that was a really fun Meet and Greet, Especially cause we snuck in 4 people! woot woot!!! Michael Jackson wait, what!??! interactions with Celebrities: On twitter: after an unintelligible post by Selena Gomez about a trip to olive garden, including words like "Demi" "breadsticks" and "gkdandvvdvvkdvvkvk" in various forms of caps lock, and lack there of, I responded. I said "I think they put crack in your breadsticks... just sayin" and she said "whatever chicka" it was one of the highlights of my twitter career. From afar: while waiting in line at the Staples Center for the Rock Band Tour I noticed a kind-of heavyset man in a long black trench coat walking by with a man significantly bigger than him. in my mind, i go "BODYGUARD" so I took a closer look at the man in the coat. I recognized him as the singer (not Trace cyrus) from Metro Station. this is mentioned to my friends, who all laugh at him. really, trench-coat man, REALLY? you DIDN'T think you were going to get noticed walking RIGHT by the line? oh yea, you did cause you wanted to be. pathetic. Jack Vanneck for a month she was EVERYWHERE i went. she was at the Cab's video shoot, photographing a concert I was at.. it was weird. I never talked to he (why would I!?!) but yea... she was there At a concert: Travie, Gym Class Heros I was at the banister, right in the middle, at Bumpershoot Music Fest. on the last song travie jumped down, and guess who's hand he held for most of the encore? MINE I think I'm forgetting people... oh well, i'll just do more versions if I remember this list makes me happy! I shall revisit it on sad days. I am a very lucky person I think my next journal will be people I want to meet. who have you met? who do you want to meet?

So here are the pictures from my Dye process at Hairrion salon.
This is the before picture, just sitting in the salon.
then we went back and I talked with Sarah, the woman who did my hair. she told me that if the bleach didn't process correctly then I might have to switch to a different color. so she put the bleach on and wrapped me up in a shower cap and sat me under the steamer thing...
after that was done we rinsed out the bleach to find a BOLONDE ME!!!! it had lightened enough to go blue :)
AHHHHHHH is right. I will never, I repeat, never ever be a blonde.
I think I look especially like Draco Malfoy in this one...
then Sarah sectioned it off and pinned it back to being the blue
I like it like this. its kinda cute.
I thought it was so funny when she had done the bottom section the darker blue and was starting on the top section's lighter blue. I had this weird blonde faux hawk so i took a picture.
so I sat under a heat dryer when the blue was done. again, with a shower cap on. and then we rinsed!
and then we blow-dried...
I got to the salon at 7:30, and left just after 11. it took so long because she had to do the bleaching process slowly because my hair was red.
finished product back in the dorms where people kept FREAKIN out about it
so yea, that was my process, I hope you enjoyed. I know I did!

after today I'm not going to be able to hide anymore.
after today I am going to be a lot more noticeable.
after today, I will have blue hair!
I have an appointment tonight at 7:30 to get it done.
I'm nervous
its like, excited nervous... nervous nonetheless.
thanks to everyone who voted on which color I should do. you helped me make my decision.
BLUE!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I'm gonna make a driving CD cause Emily's car (Emisforlly on here) only has a CD player and no Ipod jack.
last night/afternoon (from like 2-10pm) I dyed emily's hair purple. We only did the bottom half and some of the areas around her face. if you follow me on twitter you might have seen the pictures.
but we bleached for a while then put in the purple while she watched Lost. she washed it out after I went to bed so I don't know what it looks like, and I haven't seen her all day!!!!
the first time I'll see her is when she gets out of class at 6:30 where we race to the car and drive to West Hollywood for my appointment.
I hope there isn't much traffic and that we can find parking/the salon pretty easily.
I think I am really going to miss my hair. but I have to tell myself... IT WILL GROW BACK! ITS NOT THAT BIG A DEAL!!!!!
its just kinda freakin me out.
I'll be posting updates on twitter (follow me! Emily9980) including probable pictures using my iPhone.
then I have two classes on friday, one is a midterm for music 104. no sweat, really.
after that I drive up to Occidental with Emily so I can visit my friend Morgan from highschool. I haven't told her that I'm coloring my hair so I need to call her today so she doesn't freak out hahahahha
I dropped (withdrew... whatever) from my Western Civ class today. it really really wasn't working out for me. the information was interesting, but there wasn't a textbook, just texts from the actual time periods (we were reading like Plato and the bible and stuff) and I really just couldn't keep it all straight
Cant I just play that game instead!
so yea... thats whats up with me. I'll post a picture of myself tonight so keep an eye out for it.
wish me luck!!!!

It's official... Bread crusts SUCK
I've never had one of those... they look far to processed to be delicious
What is love?

I love things.
but can anyone ever really define love?
songwriters and musicians have been trying to define it for ages:
Rookie of the year says love is "someone I can talk to every night."
Sara Bareilles isn't going to write a love song just to make you stay.
you can't buy the Beatles love, yet they say it's all you need.
and Air Supply is all out of it.
Bon Jovi thinks you give love a bad name
Beyonce's love is Crazy
Disney characters wont say they're feeling it
the Jonas Brothers have the bug
and the Backstreet boys will be okay as long as you love them.
"with a love like that, you know you should be glad" - she loves you, The Beatles
"do yah love me! nowwww that IIIII can daaaaaance. daaaance daaaaacne. watch me now!" -do you love me, The Contours
"whats love got to do, got to do with it" - Tina Turner
what does love have to do with ANYTHING?
Do humans need love to survive? do we need to have love for others just to live our lives?
I got a valentine in the mail today. is that love?
yea. I think so.
but still, I feel this need to quantify it. I want something to mean love. like, a sticker, or a cookie.
odd. I am currently grappling with this thought.
please comment if you have any clue what I'm talking about
IN OTHER NEWS:
my parents are coming down to LA this weekend. very excited. this means good food and new things. plus the fact that i completely can not wait to see them :)
this also means I'm not going to be dyeing my hair until after they leave and again i have nothing but school to deal with. still haven't decided which color...
I love stickers.
If you love stickers, please raise your hand.
there's a shop in the Grove's farmers market that only sells stickers.
I like that place.
I'm going to go pop some popcorn and watch Nick and Nora's infinite playlist.
wish me luck on my quest.

My mom is making a digital photo frame for my grandparents for the pictures from our trip to Ireland with them back in the 90's. I look so young! haha
I just scanned a picture of myself reading harry potter in a garden there. I freakin love HP.
yesterday i went shopping at Urban Outfitters, the MECA for scene and indie kids. i really like the store, but its usually out of my price range. But, my friend's sister works at Anthropology, which is owned by Urban, and that means she gets a 40% discount on everything in the store, even sale stuff!
I SAW THESE THERE!!!!!
I talk about them in a past journal, if you were wondering... haha
So i bought a sweatshirt, a knit hat, a shirt for my friend for christmas, and... the real hummdinger...
A LOMO fisheye2 Camera!
now, I haven't had a lot of luck with LOMO. I bought a colorsplash a couple months back, and it sucked. the camera itself was amazing, but it broke after 1 roll of film. I was extremely disappointed. but there is no other fisheye camera out there like the LOMO one, so I just put my faith in the brand again, and we'll see what happens. the camera is white, and seems to be more sturdy then my colorsplash. it actually has some METAL parts! haha. no, but seriously, I have high hopes.
i just scanned a picture where i have on a BRIGHT green windbreaker on and I'm petting a cat. I have no idea where that was taken. PROBABLY in Ireland... haha
SO like the title of this journal post says, It is snowing here in Seattle. Like, a ton! there are probably 6-7 inches out there right now. maybe more. it's hard to judge out the window but my car has a VERY thick layer on it, so best bet is around that. and it's been coming down all morning. school for high schoolers was canceled today. that makes the whole island a little awkward, because i run the chance of running into people i never thought i would see again after highschool. haha
Im done with a batch of photos and i can't decide if i should do another one...
I'm listening to the jonas brothers. LOVE.
I thikin im going to go put on my Mucklucks that i got custom made in Alaska, my rainproof pants, my down jacket, and my hunting cap and venture over to my friends house on foot. about 5 blocks, but none-the-less, and adventure.
yes, this shall be done NOW.
hope you all have a great day!
p.s. check out my pictures form the Augustana concert i went to! i was front row :)

good god I think I'm screwed
I can NOT seem to start studying for my finals! its ridiculous!
I have Psychology on monday. That shouldn't be too hard, I just need to review the past stuff from former midterms and the new information...
none on tuesday, cause I already did the take home final that is due that day for my Mass Media class... that felt good
MATH on wednesday at 8AM.
Tuesday night I'm going to a party in Santa Monica Hosted by the Grammys,
Purely for entertainment purposes, I hope they are there...
annnnd my math final is at 8 the next morning. scary man, but its cool. I will probably fail anyway! and that would give me like, a C in the class. at least I'll pass. AND its the last math I'll EVER have to TAKE!
Thursday is Art of Cinema final... and that i really need to study for. just re-reading chapters, memorizing terms, making flash-cards galore... I freakin love flash-cards.
then friday I fly home to Seattle for xmas break! I have like, a whole month at home. yippee! but my parents are gonna be ragging on me to work over the break. where can I work for only one month? any ideas? haha I am NOT too stoked about that.
and I just can't open my Psych book! there's supposed to be a study session this afternoon... I don't know if i wanna go. I've gotten good grades on the past midterms, so obviously my study program is working...
I really need to brush my teeth.
I'm also running out of blue things to photograph in my room. haha.
I think I'm gonna clean out my HUGE sponge-bob souvenir cup and put soda in it.
he's excited. and so am I.

soooo I'm fading
off buzznet
and thats really sad
i don't wanna let go!
so heres the dealio
I'm gonna do one of those lame "post a picture every day" things.
for a month.
but i think they should all have a theme.
like... color.
or inanimate objects
or things starting with the same letter
YEA!
I'm gonna go with blue.
so
for the nest month (30 days)
I will be posting a photo everyday
ending January 2nd
of something that is
Blue.
this is like, and epic game of I Spy.
lol
starting today.
any suggestions of blue things? haha
